Guest Artist Showcase

The Piermont Flywheel Gallery is currently accepting submissions from artists near and far for our annual Guest Artists Showcase, now back following last year's hiatus.

We will be hosting a 4-week guest show to allow artists to share and showcase their talent with our gallery visitors. The show will run from:
Thursday, January 13 through Sunday, February 6, 2022.

The gallery will promote the show and its artists across all its marketing channels and help the guest artists organize a celebratory reception.

The show will be named collectively by its participating artists. We hope to feature art across all methods and mediums – from painting to photography, sculpture to digital installation, mixed media, and beyond.

To be considered for inclusion in the Guest Artists Showcase, please see the following submission guidelines and instructions:

What To Submit:
Send us an email with:

  • your full name
  • direct contact info (email, mobile phone)
  • links to any social pages or website featuring your artwork
  • a brief "about the artist" statement that includes a description of you and your work (100 words or less, please)

You can submit up to 10 pieces of artwork. For each piece, please indicate its title, dimensions, and medium. Selected works will be chosen by a jury of gallery member artists. The number of pieces selected depends on the size of your work and the overall number of artists participating. Each featured artist will be allotted the same space in our gallery.

Please provide a non-password-protected link to a web page that contains clearly labeled images of your artwork for your image submissions. We Transfer, Google Drive, Drop box, or a designated website link that you provide are options available to you. Alternatively, you can submit individual .jpg attachments of your artwork. If submitting individual .jpgs should be clearly labeled and should not exceed 5MB. Images of pieces should be no smaller than 1080px on the long side of the image.

We will use information from your "about the artist" will promote the show on our social media and via email invitations. If selected, you will also need to provide a head shot.

When to Submit:
The final deadline for submissions is December 1, 2021. Once all finalists have been selected, the Piermont Flywheel Gallery will contact the artist directly. All additional information will be provided leading up to the artists' show.

There is no application fee. If you are chosen as an artist, your one-time fee will not exceed $400. The final gallery fee will depend on the number of artists in the show and maybe less than $400. Artists keep 100% of their individual sales (less credit card fees when applicable). The prices of artworks are determined by the artist; payment of all relevant sales tax is the artist's responsibility.

Gallery Sitting:
Participating artists will be required to tend the gallery during their show. The time will be equally divided among all artists in the show.
